ICT France and ICT Iberica are rewarded for their performance
Carrefour France, a major player in European distribution, awarded ICT France and ICT Iberica for their highest quality of deliveries to its warehouses since the beginning of the Covid crisis.
ICT France's Supply Chain Director, Eric Grousseau, had the privilege to receive this award on behalf of ICT.
As pointed out during the presentation of the prize, this performance is all the more remarkable since it was achieved while the health crisis severely penalized deliveries to Retail Chains ; ICT France and ICT Iberica obtained a service rate of 99.6%. As Carrefour pointed out, this is the best rate of all the companies producing the Carrefour brand.
“Congratulations to the Supply Chain teams of ICT France and ICT Iberica who have implemented agility and flexibility for our customer.”
FSC® Core Labour Requirements: New Versions of Chain of Custody Standards
The Forest Stewardship Council® has released in September 2021 new Core Labour Requirements in its chain of custody certification standard, to provide added protection for the rights of workers in all FSC® certified operations.
The new standard focuses on ILO declaration and conventions, with special regards to:
- Child Labour abolition
- Prevention of any form of Forced Labour
- No Discriminations, to ensure equal access to occupation and professional growth
- Freedom of Association and effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining
In that contest, ICT decide to promptly adopt the new version of the standard FSC-STD-40-004 (V3-1) since of next re-certification audit, as the protection of workers’ rights has always been part of our commitments and the base of our Policy and Mission.
A new challenge for ICT France !
ICT France is still growing in line with the authorisation obtained and included in the Greenfield project. The investment foresees installation of a new, 70,000 ton per annum, continuous machine to double the production capacity and resulting expansion of reel, finished product warehouses and converting area.
The company is proud of this business growth led by the French team in these first ten years since the first machine started up, and is determined to continue with the project to speed up further growth and consolidate its leadership in top quality Tissue European consumer markets.
The start up is scheduled for the second half of 2023, will require considerable commitment and will involve several people from the internal teams of ICT France and of the group and many external partners.
As with each Group investment, the project will satisfy the highest technological, functionality and efficiency standards available on the market.
Foxy, in Système U shops in the "Centre Val de Loire”
Since 2019, Foxy and Système U have entered into a local partnership, promoting our products made in the Loiret region in their shops. The trust that the company has placed in us over the past two years has prompted it to feature us on the back cover of its latest promotional catalogue, illustrating our local roots as well as the men and women who work every day at ICT France to offer quality products.
A novelty for sustainability and environmental protection
A system improving the efficiency of the press section installed on the PM31 of ICT France. The new system facilitates the drainage of the water by increasing the temperature of the paper entering the suction press, thanks to the recovery of the thermal energy of the hood exhaust air, and consequently reduces the need for electrical and thermal energy, required for drying the paper and thereby contributing to a reduction in CO2 emissions.
ICT France keeps on growing
Another important phase in the expansion of the ICT France plant in Montargis has just been concluded.
The project involved installing an additional state-of-the-art production line to increase the offer and strengthen leadership in the French market.
Once again on this occasion, the ICT Group reaffirmed its commitment towards continuous improvement by always placing great emphasis on quality.
A special thank you goes to everyone who, with great determination and despite the hardships brought about by the current health emergency, succeeded in completing the project.
