ICT UK was founded in 2018 and already sells in the UK with a salesforce in place dedicated to the development of the UK market. ICT’s next move is to build a new plant in the Northern Gateway site on Deeside, North Wales.
It will be a state-of-the-art and a fully integrated plant for the production and sale of Tissue paper reels and of consumer products. These products will be marketed in Britain and Ireland through large retailers' private labels and ICT’s own brand FOXY.
The project, the first of its kind in the UK after more than 15 years, follows the Group's 'Greenfield' philosophy which means starting from a field to create an integrated, technologically advanced plant. There is a strong focus on environmental sustainability and which meets the highest standards. This allows an optimal customer service, distributive logistics with a lower environmental impact. This enhances the production of excellent quality paper, based on the latest technologies available. 'Greenfield', for ICT, also means being able to create a positive and lasting bond between the Company and the local area people by entrusting the operation and management to local professionals and favouring the development, over time, of a cohesive group.
Therefore, in the first phase, we expect to hire employ and train over 200 people with varied professional skills (in production, management, sales, marketing logistics, administration etc.) and with different levels of responsibility.

These processes have already started and will accompany all the phases of the project.
After over 40 years of experience in the Tissue sector, this investment reflects the company’s ambition to grow and expand its presence in Europe to satisfy the market needs in terms of delivery reliability and in the quality of its products.
